Discover is now one of the leading banks when it comes to high yield savings accounts, IRA's, and CD accounts. LIsted below is a rate sheet of IRA and Certificates of Deposit for 2011. As you can see the 3 month APY is 0.55% compared to the National average which is just 0.34% then you move up the rate sheet to 5 year and see an even bigger difference. The 10 year is at 3.00% APY with the National rate well below two percent.

Here are some fresh rates from Discover Bank from February 2011. The Money Market accounts below with more (and less) than $2,500 are looking pretty weak compared to Discover Bank at a full 1.00% Rate and APY. The best deal though is with the Premium savings account where you can get 1.30% APY with a 1.29% rate unless you choose to open up an Online Savings with a minimun of $500 and score a 1.20 APY and 1.19% rate.
