  • Stop High Gas Prices with Upside Gas App: Free $7 Sign-Up Bonus + Save 25¢ Per Gallon

A gallon of regular gas currently costs $3.47, on average, according to the latest data from the AAA. Gas prices across are climbing as the Fourth of July week approaches.

The current gas prices for 2024 have been fluctuating due to inflation and other factors. Fortunately, there are ways to beat the high gas prices. Using cash back apps is one way to do this. For example, some apps allow you to get cash back from gas purchases. This means you can get money back each time you fill up your tank, which can make a huge difference over time. By taking advantage of cash back apps and other discounts, you can save money on gas and beat the high prices caused by inflation.

Now is a great time to download apps that help you save money on gas. The current promo is that if you sign up now you get an extra 25 cents a gallon off your gas and they have a restaurant offer where you dine-in or out once and they give you another 40 cents off! In addition, they are offering a Generous $7 all-time high sign-up bonus if you sign up here.

The Upside Gas App (formerly “Get Upside”) lets you earn up to 25 cents per gallon cash back at over 5,000 gas stations across the U.S.A. While it is available in most states it is not showing up in some such as Washington but you will find it in Florida and states such as Texas.

You’ll get gasoline savings at many big gas station brands when you use Upside, including Casey’s, Shell, BP, Exxon, Marathon, Sunoco, Valero, Citgo, E-Z Mart, 7-Eleven, Circle K, and many more.

The program continues to expand its partnerships to give you more cash back options. During the few weeks I’ve used it, GetUpside has added and notified me of new gas station deals in my area.

    Step 1: Download the App

The GetUpside app is the only way to participate in this cash back program. Once you download it, create an account using your email, Google login or Facebook login information.

When you sign up via this Upside Referral Link and enter Invite Code B263E2, you’ll get $7 Cash Back Bonus Plus an extra 25 cents per gallon cashback on gas – on top of whatever great offer you find in the app.

That means you could get up to 65 cents per gallon cash back on your first fill-up with the Upside Gas App.

Step 2: Find Participating Businesses in Your Area

Once you enable location services in the app, GetUpside will show you the deals closest to you. You can view the offers on the map or in a list under the corresponding category.

The available categories are gas, groceries, food and free gas.

The first three will show you the participating businesses around you and the amount of cash back you will receive on your purchase. However, the free gas tab is a little different.

“Free Gas” is GetUpside’s referral program that provides additional rewards every time your friends buy gas where you can actually make money each time they fill up.

Step 3: Claim an Offer and Check-in

Now, pick an offer to claim. It’s best to claim offers just before you make your purchase because GetUpside puts a timer, which typically lasts several hours, on your claimed offer.

Before you claim an offer, make sure to comparison shop. If the deal is for gas, use an app like GasBuddy or take a look at local prices on Google Maps.

Comparison shopping for the lower overall price is always a better deal. Don’t just go somewhere because it has an incentive, especially if it is more expensive.

If you see a deal that looks good to you, click the claim button to activate the offer and start the timer.

Step 4: Complete Your Claimed Deal

To view active offers that you have claimed, go to the “Claimed Offers” section of the menu in the upper left-hand corner.

This list also tells you how long you have to finish each offer. To successfully complete the deal, you need to make your purchase in the set time frame and use a credit card.

If you don’t think you’ll be able to complete the deal in the time you have left, click the unclaim button on the offer page.

    Step 5: Upload the Receipt

Some gas stations require you to upload a receipt but some just have you check-in so this step isn’t always required.

One of the best things about GetUpside is that you don’t need to enter your credit card or banking information to get cash back like most other rewards apps. Instead, you just upload the receipt from your claimed deal.

To upload your receipt and complete the deal, go to an offer you’ve claimed and click “Upload Receipt.”

Take a picture of the entire receipt and wait for GetUpside to scan it. After it’s finished, a checklist pops up to tell you if the app was able to read the information it needed from your receipt.

GetUpside says it takes between a few hours and a day for the money to be available in your account. The only negative for me is that it asked me about every single item being in the receipt but hopefully it only does this on the first time.

This works similar to the ibotta and fetch grocery apps where you upload receipts but this is with gas and sometimes food.

    Step 6: Claim Your Cash!

You can take out your money by going to the menu in the app and clicking “Cash Out.”

GetUpside gives you the option to cash out via PayPal, check or digital gift card. You need a minimum of $1 in order to take any money out of your account.

If you would like to receive your cash via PayPal or check, there is a $1 service fee unless you meet the minimum withdrawal. The fee-free minimum is $15 for PayPal and $50 for a check. You can also eliminate this fee by referring a friend to GetUpside.

Digital gift cards are only available in set amounts, so you have to earn that amount of cash back in order to get one.

The cash back I earned for this test showed up in my GetUpside account in about five hours. They sent me an email to let me know my cash back has been credited.

    GetUpside Review

The GetUpside app is a legitimate way to earn cash back on participating gas, food and grocery stores. My area does not have grocery offers yet, but there are tons of gas deals available and I am seeing some restaurants pop up at 7% back such as Boston Market.

Check the app each week for deals such as an $5 cashback on gas fill-ups or dining!

Here are a few tips and perks I enjoyed while using the GetUpside app:

Easy claim and upload process: GetUpside provides clear instructions to help you along the way.

No credit card or bank information necessary: I like that I did not need to link a credit card to participate and that I didn’t need to link a bank account to get the money out of my GetUpside account.

You can stack it with other cash back programs. I tried to stack this GetUpside with my Fuel Rewards on a Shell Gas Station fill-up and I was not only able to get 15 cents a gallon off using my T-Mobile Tuesdays credit but also an additional 15 cents from this app. It did notice that I was stacking offers so it did not pay on the amount already discounted which was fine but at least I was able to stack the majority of the amount.

You can make money from your friends fueling up and using the app. Once you download the app, you’ll have access to your own Upside referral code, which you can share with your friends and family to give them an extra 15 cents per gallon cash back, and you’ll get an extra 15 cents per gallon cash back on their first use.

In order to qualify for the bonus as a referrer, your referee must spend a minimum of $10 on their first gas purchase, but there is no minimum spend requirement in order for the referee to redeem their extra 20 cents per gallon on their first gas fill-up.

Earn Ongoing 2-Tiered Upside Referral Bonuses from Friends you referred. In addition to the extra 20 cents per gallon cash back referral bonuses, Upside provides you with ongoing bonuses for every gallon of gas that your referrals (and their referrals) buy in the future.

    • 2¢/Gal Tier: Each time one of your direct referrals buys gas in the future, you will earn a 2 cents per gallon bonus deposited into your Upside account.
    • 1¢/Gal Tier: Each time one of your indirect referrals (i.e., your referral’s referrals) buys gas, you will earn a 1 cent per gallon bonus deposited into your Upside account.

These ongoing bonuses are different than the 20 cents per gallon redemption bonuses that you earn, which require a gas purchase in order to get the cash back, as the ongoing bonuses are deposited directly into your cash-out balance, and don’t require further gas purchases in order to redeem them.

There is no limit to the amount of users that you can refer or the bonus rewards that you can earn.

Yes, it’s legit. This pretty much sums up how amazing this app is and we know it sounds too good to be true but it’s not. It is just a little hassle to spend a few seconds of your time to upload a receipt and make sure you select your gas station before fueling. That is the only hard part is forgetting to use the app before fueling. Keep in mind the company may go bankrupt or give less in rewards once everyone starts using it.

Stackable with Other Apps. You can pretty much stack this with Exxon Mobil’s rewards program and Shell Fuel Rewards and award apps such as Dosh and Drop where you automatically get cash back. Gas prices have no signs of going down so why not use every app and frugal option we have to save money at the pump?

  • Food Delivery Apps Waive Fees & Offer Promos During Coronavirus pandemic

With many people looking to avoid dine-in restaurants in an effort to fight the spread of the coronavirus, there are several food delivery services available to bring food to your door.

UberEats has announced they will be waiving the delivery fee for non-chain local restaurants. Restaurants such as Primanti Brothers, Moe’s, Chipotle are offering free delivery on Postmates.

Food Delivery Deals when staying home due to Coronavirus:
    — $15 Free DoorDash Food Delivery Credits
$7 off UberEats with code eats-ubervip4me
and Free Delivery from all local restaurants during this crisis
$100 Free Delivery Credit: Food, Alcohol, and Most Anything on the Postmates App.
—GrubHub Food Delivery Review – $10 Off Promo!

Posted on Facebook as UberEats is waiving fees on some local restaurants. You can get $7 off your order with with code eats-ubervip4me.

$10 off your order for dinner every night!

Grubhub has a new special where every day from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, get $10 off your order of $30+ from participating local restaurants. Grubhub  delivers most of the local restaurants, pizza places, asian cuisine and will deliver from chains like Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s.

In addition to individual restaurants with delivery services (check their websites), the following services are available:

    No Contact Drop-offs

Food delivery services are moving to contactless drop-offs and encouraging customers to take advantage of drop-off instructions to minimize the chance of spreading the virus. Earlier in March, food delivery service Postmates introduced a feature called Dropoff Options, giving customers the ability to choose to either meet their delivery driver at the door, curbside, or go non-contact and have deliveries left at the door. Grocery delivery service Instacart launched a Leave at My Door Delivery option across the US. Uber Eats has also waived delivery fees in the US and Canada during the pandemic.

Many cities are not allowing consumers to dine at restaurants during this pandemic.

    Groceries Delivered

We should also be avoiding leaving and going out in public in general. If you can’t leave instacart is a great option where you grocery shop and they bring it to you. Walmart, target, giant eagle all offer pickup/delivery services. this is what everyone should be doing to minimize contact/avoid crowds. Another option is the home delivery services like HelloFresh, HomeChef, BlueApron, etc. Most of them offer a promo for the first few weeks and you should be able to make a few home cooked meals a week for under $30.

    Conclusion

Now is a great time to get food delivery specials at half off or free promotions when you sign up for the leading services.

    • DoorDash — will deliver from several restaurants including Chipotle, Firehouse Tavern, and McDonald’s. Compare DoorDash vs. UberEats.
    • Postmates — will deliver from several local restaurants as well as chains like Five Guys, Denny’s and Subway
    • Uber Eats — will deliver from Panda Express, Popeye’s, and Donatos Pizza, among several others
    • Grubhub — will deliver from chains like Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s.
  • DoorDash vs. UberEats Food Delivery

DoorDash and Uber Eats are amongst the most popular food delivery options available today. Both offer on-demand service that’s accessible via smartphone app or desktop computer. Both show an estimated delivery time. Both apps have a simple ordering process – just add your credit card, delivery address, food order, and any special delivery instructions.

Due to growing demand, Uber Eats increased their revenue by more than 230% during the last year alone. DoorDash is doing even better by more than 250% year-over-year.

Food Delivery Promo Codes for March 2020:
    — $15 Free DoorDash Food Delivery Credits
$7 off UberEats with code eats-ubervip4me
and Free Delivery from all local restaurants during this crisis

    City Availability

Uber Eats is available in far more cities across the United States and across the world outside of the Americas. Currently, you can use Uber’s food delivery service in cities all over North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. DoorDash is only available in the US and Canada.

DoorDash vs. Uber Eats: Which One is Cheaper?

Convenient food delivery comes at a price. Both companies make money by charging customers a delivery and service fee for each order. So, in addition to paying for the order itself, you’ll also have to fork up a few extra dollars to cover the cost of the service.

DoorDash, for example, charges a base delivery fee of $5.99. This fee is higher in certain cities. It also increases during busy hours (i.e. lunch and dinner time).

They also charge a service fee for when you order from certain restaurants. If the restaurant is not an official DoorDash partner (or “Merchant”), they tack a few extra dollars onto the bill. In other words, DoorDash orders can be expensive when delivering a low-cost meal.

When you order from an official Merchant restaurant, the fee is typically waived. This helps them to promote their partnerships with specific restaurants.

Similar to the delivery fee, the service fee varies depending on the delivery time and time of day. However, you can always expect to pay a few dollars more for a delivery person to drop off your food than if you just walked into the restaurant yourself.

Similarly, UberEats charges a variable delivery and service fee. Now, the fee is determined by the distance between your location and your restaurant of choice. In other words, the further a driver has to travel, the more you can expect to pay. Typically, it ranges between $2 and $8.

DoorDash’s Subscription Service is great for those that use it frequently

One benefit of DoorDash is that they offer DashPass, a subscription plan that grants customers free delivery and lower services fees on all orders over $12.

It only costs $9.99 per month and subscribers can opt out at any time.

If you think about it, $9.99 per month isn’t a bad price for unlimited free deliveries. That means that you pay the same price you’d pay in-house. But, you get to enjoy the meal in the comfort of your own home.

If an average delivery fee is $5.99, you only have to place two orders each month for your DashPass to pay for itself.

Of course, the DashPass isn’t for casual customers. If you only order once every few months, it’s not worth your money. But, if you’re constantly browsing the DoorDash app in search of your next meal, this could be a great way for you to save some cash.

Uber Eats vs. DoorDash: Who Has Better Promotional Partnerships?

Both companies have exclusive brand partnerships with different restaurants. These partnerships have huge benefits for customers. For example, it makes more sense to order Chipotle from DoorDash. The two have an ongoing contract in which DoorDash handles all deliveries for more than 1,800 Chipotle locations across the U.S.

They did something similar with Cheesecake Factory, another partner. Everyone who used the app to order from Cheesecake Factory received free delivery.

Uber Eats, on the other hand, partners with fast food restaurants like White Castle and McDonald’s. They are also waiving delivery fees on local restaurants during the Coronavirus pandemic.

    So Uber Eats or DoorDash?

Ultimately, it’s hard to decide which of these two services is better. No clear winner emerges from the comparison. They both have their own perks and downsides.

The best thing you can do is test them both out.

P.S. Get an exclusive Uber Eats and DoorDash promo code here to maximize your savings.

Scan through the menus on each app and see which restaurants they work within your area. When you choose a restaurant, order through the app that delivers for that restaurant.

  • Unreal Mobile’s $10/month unlimited cell phone plan to good to be true?

When you see cell phone bill come in at less than $30 a month you start to think it’s fake news or unreal. Although, if you do not consume data from the mobile provider and use Wifi there actually are some options for cheaper than Sprint’s $25 a month plan.

The reality is that no unlimited plans are truly unlimited.

They may offer unlimited talk, text and data, but you must pay attention to the limits on high-speed data.

Unreal Mobile’s cheapest “unlimited” plan is $10 a month, but it only comes with 1GB of LTE data.  After you’ve reached the limit you then get your speeds reduced to 2G. If you plan on streaming video 2G is too low.

    Unlimited Mobile Starting at $10

If you’re willing to pay more than $10 a month, Unreal will give you more high-speed data:

    Unreal Mobile data plans

Unlimited talk, text and 1GB LTE data $10/month
Unlimited talk, text and 2GB LTE data $15/month
Unlimited talk, text and 5GB LTE data $30/month

According to Unreal’s website, all plans include a built-in VPN security service that lets you browse anonymously without being tracked, an ad blocker, the ability to save unused data, and live agent customer support.

Unreal is a mobile virtual network operator(formerly FreedomPop) that used to only run on Sprint’s network but now updated to AT&T. Unreal sells only a handful of devices on its website, but you can bring a phone that you’ve bought from Sprint or a carrier that partners with them. To be sure your phone is compatible, enter the device’s MEID or IMEI number on Unreal’s website.

UPDATE: Unreal Mobile is now offering AT&T SIMs that will work on any unlocked GSM phone. The service was previously only available through the Sprint CDMA network.

“We have had over 50,000 people bring their existing phone to UNREAL Mobile, but until today, only certain Sprint devices worked and most of those devices did not qualify. That put us in the unfortunate position of having to turn customers away,” said Samantha Lewe, UNREAL Mobile GM. “With the addition of GSM SIMs from one of the top nationwide networks, mobile users across the U.S. can now access our lowest-cost service, and on the nation’s best networks.”

An AT&T SIM card will cost $4.99, with monthly cell phone plans from $10 that include talk, text and data.

    Review of Unreal Mobile

Most people are aware of complaints about Sprint’s network including dropped calls and slow data but some actually get really good service with the network. To get the best service make sure you bring over a good phone and you will have a better quality experience.

We had no problem with the 1GB high-speed data limit because we were connected to Wi-Fi so often and didn’t use much data. The service was never throttled to 2G speeds.

Due to the 1GB limit on high-speed data, the $10/month plan is really only suitable for light data users with Wi-Fi access. If you need more than 5GB of high-speed data per month or have experienced issues with Sprint’s network in the past then Unreal probably isn’t the best deal for you. Although now you can bring in an AT&T phone or use the AT&T network and see if that works better in your area. The bottom line is that Unreal Mobile is getting more Real by the day!

  • Foursquare Apps can save you this Shopping Season

Say you are shopping for the Big Black Friday weekend or just out doing some Christmas shopping on your vacation time you may not think about taking time to Check-in with Foursquare. Foursquare is an app made for the iPhone and also on Android that lets you Check-in just like Facebook places. The only thing is it normally is time consuming to have to pull up the app and check in to every store you pull up to or every restaraunt. This Foursquare app does it with ease but now gives you a better reason than just earning badges and being able to brag to your friends that you were shopping at Neiman’s or Dining at Three Forks with your other half.

Facebook places and Foursquare are both now adding coupons to their inventory of check in locations and making it well worth the effort of checking to see if your store has a coupon. If you cannot find a coupon close or promotion then keep seearching because I bet it is closer than you think. I was eating at one restaurant and almost left to go over to Chili’s to use their appetizer coupon then caught my self shopping in the mall and headed to the stores that offered better savings. Check it out on your iPhone and you will be addicted to this app.

One example of this app coming in useful is if you are shopping in an area that is close to a restaurant that is offering a special on Foursquare. Say you are inside Toys R’ US and you check-in to find that Pei Wei has a free appetizer. Ok, time to head over and unlock the Free appetizer badge.
