  • Best Business Bank Bonuses for New Accounts 2019

We listed the personal bank accounts here but below you will find the business checking incentives by banks for 2018 so far. See more here about Business Credit Cards.

Bank of America $2,500 Business Checking Bonus – Nationwide

Massive bonus and most people should be able to get $1,000 without too much fuss if they can meet the $50,000 deposit requirement. Looks like you’ll need a real and significant business to get the full $2,500 as it requires merchant services and other business related services.

    • Soft pull
    • No funding for in-brach opening

Wells Fargo $300 Business Checking Bonus – Almost Nationwide

This excludes the following states: Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Hawaii. Not quite as good as the previous bonus, but still well worth doing.

    • Soft pull
    • No credit card funding available in branch
    • Direct deposit not required

First Bank Financial Centre $300 Business Checking – WI Only

Requires 50 transactions within 180 days of account opening and that includes debit card transactions. Also super easy to keep the account fee free. There is also a $300 personal checking bonus you can do at the same time.

    • Soft pull
    • No credit card funding
    • Direct deposit not required

MB Financial Bank $350 Business Checking – IL, IN, or PA

Main downside to this bonus is the $5,000 deposit requirement, otherwise it’s very easy to get the bonus and keep account fee free. Worth doing if you live within the area.

    • Soft pull
    • Unknown credit card funding
    • No direct deposit required

PNC Up To $400 Business Checking – OH, MI, FL, AL, GA, MD, KY, IN, PA

I’d recommend the $200/$300 bonuses as the $400 bonus requires $25,000 deposited. The other two are much more manageable ($3,000 for the $300 bonus).

    • Soft pull
    • Direct deposit not required
    • Personal accounts can be funded with $2,000 with a credit card

SunTrust $200 Business Checking – AL, AR, FL, GA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, WV, VA, and D.C Only

Bonus requirements are very easy (deposit $1,500 or more) and there is no monthly fee to worry about. Must do if you live in the area.

Flushing Bank $200 Business Checking Bonus – NY & NJ

Bonus requirements are easy to meet and there are no monthly fees to worry about.

Provident Credit Union $150 In Branch Business Checking Bonus – CA

Used to require a balance of $10,000 to keep fee free, but that is no longer a requirement making this bonus worth doing if you live near a branch.

    • Soft pull
    • Credit card funding up to $1,000
    • Direct deposit not required

First Tennessee $300 Business + $150 Savings In Branch Bonus

Needs to be open in branch and requires a daily balance of $10,000 to keep fee free, apart from that this is a great bonus and worth doing if you live near a branch.

    • No credit card funding
    • Direct deposit not required

    Chase $200 Business Savings Bonus

Basically the same as the personal savings bonus. Requires a $15,000 deposit for 90 days. Works out to be an annualized return of over 5% APY.

    • Soft pull
    • Can’t find with a credit card in branch
    • $15,000 required for 90 days

Liberty Bank – $100 Business Checking Bonus – CT, MA, RI

Relatively small bonus, but no monthly fees to worry about and there are also no bonus requirements. Can also open a personal account at the same time for another $100 (this does require a direct deposit for the bonus)

    • Can fund up to $500 with a credit card per account
    • Direct deposit with no minimum required

  • The Hassle of Applying for a Pre-Approved Business Card Offer

Capital-One-approved-businesscardNo one can complain when you get credit card offers in the mail during one of the worst markets and housing bubbles of all time. It has truly been awhile that I have gotten any offers from Chase or a few of the other banks that I used to get mailings each week. Back then they would bug me but now I am excited.

Capital One sent me a 0% APR on purchases until 2011, $0 Annual Fee, and an offer for a card that will result in Double Miles for purchases for 12 Months. The bad thing is that earlier this year I was denied twice from the same bank. I was just trying to get a credit card to use for foreign purchases while traveling which is really one of the only reasons to have a Capital One card. Their rewards are good but I am pretty content with my Chase rewards.

The only downside to this offer from Capital One is that when I goto fill out the application it kept giving me errors. I had to try over ten times to get this application to be error free. This thing is picky as to dashes and what phone numbers you have listed. For instance, you cannot have your home phone number and your business phone number the same or it will come back in an error. I filled out the application a few more times trying to see where the other error came from and it said it was from the Business Tax ID where it automatically took out a number when I copied and pasted it with a dash originally. I then had to go back in and fill out the Capital One Business Platinum Credit Card application with the full set of Business tax id numbers and without the dash.

I was then approved. This will be my first Capital One Business card and I am very excited!
